Her Story

Marybeth Byrd is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Armorel, Arkansas, with roots in Country, Christian, and Pop music. Her passion is driven by connection and pure emotion. The stage gave her a voice in which helped her overcome stuttering at a very young age. Byrd gained national attention after reaching the top 8 of NBC’s The Voice in 2019 with the help of her coach, John Legend - and mentors - Usher and Taylor Swift. She then went on to make the top 10 of ABC’s American Idol in 2023 with the help of stars like Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Noah Cyrus, Lainey Wilson, and Jelly Roll. Her original song "People Pleaser" earned a standing ovation from the judges, Katy Perry hailing "excellent songwriting." Byrd has recorded nearly 15 songs with the production and writing team JST FRIENDS (Callie Dixon & Gabe Neal). She has co-written with chart-topping songwriters, like Lance Carpenter, Jeff Cohen, Kenneth Hart, Linda Davis, Brent Baxter, Rachel Thinodeau and more. If you don't find her on stage, she's writing with a group out of 507 Publishing in Nashville, running a photography business, and teaching vocal lessons on the side! These experiences have shaped her into the artist that she is today and has paved the way for her to continue on in the music industry.
