Her Story
Marybeth Byrd is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Armorel, Arkansas, with roots in Country, Christian, and Pop music. Her passion is driven by connection, pure emotion and the vulnerability of the art itself. The stage gave her a voice in which helped her overcome stuttering at a very young age. Byrd gained national attention after reaching the top 8 of NBC’s The Voice in 2019 with the help of her coach, John Legend - and mentors - Usher and Taylor Swift. She then went on to make the top 10 of ABC’s American Idol in 2023 with the help of stars like Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Noah Cyrus, Lainey Wilson, and Jelly Roll. Her original song "People Pleaser" earned a standing ovation from the judges, Katy Perry hailing "excellent songwriting." Byrd has recorded nearly 15 songs with the production and writing team JST FRNDS (Callie Dixon & Gabe Neal) for her upcoming EP "funny how it always seems to rain...", set to release by the end of 2024. The lead single "October Woods" is co-written with chart-topping songwriter, Lance Carpenter, and mixed by Grammy Award-winning engineer, Jacob Morris. The sister EP, "...everything changes" is set to release in 2025, which includes collaborations with acclaimed writers such as Linda Davis, Jeff Cohen, Callista Clark, Kenneth Hart, Brent Baxter, Rachel Thibodeau and more. These experiences have shaped her into the artist that she is today and has paved the way for her to continue on in the music industry.
